Irish Rail has warned that there is "ongoing disruption" to commuters travelling to and from Hueston Station after train services were suspended between Newbridge and Kildare town.
A social media update from the official Irish Rail account said that "'significant disruption to travel from Heuston is expected" this Monday evening, September 30, following an incident on the line.
Rail lines between Kildare and Newbridge are closed with "significant disruption on all Heuston Commuter and Heuston Intercity routes", however they are expected to reopen this evening.

The line between Sallins and Kildare will reopen shortly.

The 16.25 service from Cork city to Heuston was cancelled, and all trains from Heuston have been held at the station, the national rail provider said in a previous update.
It's understood that Irish Rail staff are trying to organise bus transfers where possible.

The delays are "due to a tragic incident" in Newbridge earlier this Monday afternoon.
Emergency services are attending the scene, Irish Rail said.
