Gardaí have arrested and charged a man following an incident involving a firearm at a retail premises in Terenure, Dublin 6 on Friday, August 2.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: "A firearm was recovered by gardaí following the incident. One man (aged in his 30s) was arrested yesterday, Wednesday, August 7 and detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939 at a garda station in Dublin.

"He has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice (Court 2) this morning, Thursday, August 9 at 10.30am."
