The Proceed (part of the greater Ceed family) has gone through a few different identities since it first appeared in 2007.
The latest one presents in a ‘shooting brake’ formation which is what you get when you put a longer and low slung estate formation onto what would otherwise be a moderately sized saloon or a hatchback. And almost invariably, it means a degree of sportiness also. And such is the case with this car.
It does what some might think was impossible, make estates sporty. This one has a 1.4 litre turbo petrol which certainly has a pep in its step. It’s matched to a six speed gear box that, compared to a five-speed, takes more work from the driver, but also gives them something to smile about in terms of mpgs.
It is a handsome car. Internally, this is very comfortable car with every conceivable gadget available.
