Longford County Council has advised road users in the town to expect short delays as a result of night works being carried out on three roads in Longford Town this week.
Gully cleaning and jetting will be taking place each night - from 8pm until 6am - on Ballymahon Street, Main Street, and Dublin Road from St Mel’s Cathedral to Ardnacassa.
The works will continue up to, and including, this Friday night, December 5.

All three roads will remain open but short delays should be expected as there will be a system in place for both motorists and pedestrians.
Traffic control measures such as temporary traffic lights will be in place for vehicles, while pedestrian management will also be in operation.
