ALERT | Longford motorists warned about significant roadworks on N63 over coming weeks

Roadstone Ltd have been appointed on behalf of Longford County Council as the main contractor for the N63 Aghnaskea Bridge Pavement Scheme and wish to advise of significant roadworks on the N63 at Aghnaskea, Killashee (from Cnoc Na Si to Royal Canal Bridge).

Pavement Works are scheduled to commence on Monday, July 10 and are planned to be completed by Friday, August 11, 2023.

The scheme will generally involve the following works:

1.      Plaining, excavating and reconstruction of the existing Roadway

2.      Construction of new Kerbs/Footpaths

3.      Line Marking & Accommodation Works.

Road Closure Details;

Road to be Closed: N63 from Ballymacormack to Lanesboro. A full closure will be in place between Cnoc Na Si and the Canal Bridge at Aghnaskea

Date From Monday July 10th 2023 to Friday 04th August 2023.

Hours of Closure: From Monday 8am to Friday 6pm each week during closure period.

(Road opened to Traffic each weekend during closure period)

Traffic exiting Longford will be unable to access Killashee village along the N63 during the hours of closure.

Traffic exiting Lanesboro will be permitted access to Killashee village along the N63 during hours of closure.

In the interest of road safety, you are requested to follow diversions and heed all signs
