Alert: Longford motorists warned to expect delays as roadworks underway across county

Longford motorists are being warned to expect delays over the next five days as roadworks are underway at several locations across the county. 

Clonbroney/Drumeel/Firmount between its junctions with L-5111 and L-1089

The L-1080 will be closed from 8am to 5pm on Monday, June 16. 

The closure is to facilitate surface dressing works as part of the Roads Programme 2025. Stop/Go or Temporary Traffic Lights may be used during the works. Local Access will be permitted during the works.

Temporary Road Closure - R198 -657 Creenagh

The R198 -657 Creenagh will be closed from 8am to 5pm on Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20.

This road closure is required to facilitate planned work under the Roads Programme 2025. Local diversions will be in place and local access will be facilitated. In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.

Temporary Road Closure - L-1091-0 Bracklon

The L-1091-0 Church Street, Bracklon, Edgeworthstown will be closed from 8am to 5pm on Monday, June 16. 

The purpose of this closure is to planned work under the Roads Programme 2025. Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works. In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.

L-1019/1020 Kiltycreevagh between its junctions with L-1015 and L-5048

The  L-1019/1020 will be closed from 8am to 5pm on Monday, June 16 to Wednesday, June 18. 

The closure is to facilitate surface dressing works as part of the Roads Programme 2025. Stop/Go or Temporary Traffic Lights may be used during the works. Local Access will be permitted during the works.

Temporary Road Closure r392-2383 Clooncallow

The R392 -2383 Clooncallow will be closed from 8am to 5pm on Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20.

The purpose of this closure is to facilitate planned work under the Roads Programme 2025. Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works. In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.

Temporary Road Closure - R393 - 2238 Agharra

The R-393-2238 Agharra, Colehill will be closed from 8am to 5pm on Monday, June 16 to Friday, June 20.

The purpose of this closure is to facilitate planned work under the Roads Programme 2025. Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works. In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.
