Longford woman's fundraiser in memory of ‘most amazing dad ever’

Catriona Norris, daughter of the late Padraig Kenny, Moydow, is taking part in the Women’s VHI Mini Marathon on Sunday, June 4 to raise funds for the Parkinson's Association of Ireland.
Catriona, who lives in Kildare, has set up a gofundme page entitled ‘Let’s try find a cure for Parkinson’s’ and she is appealing for support.

She explained, “When I initially had this thought to raise money for the Parkinson's Association of Ireland, my Dad was alive and still fighting this challenging disease as best he could.”
Sadly, her ‘wonderful dad’ Padraig passed to his eternal reward, peacefully, on Friday, April 7 last at Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe.

Highly respected and well known across south Longford, Padraig was predeceased by his parents James and Bridget, his brother Noel and brother-in-law John Harte.

He is sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife Geraldine, his sister Maura (Harte), sons Seamus and John, daughters Breege, Ann Marie (Rea), Catriona (Norris), daughter-in-law and sons-in-law. Grandchildren James, Ollie, Hannah, Harry and Noah, nieces, cousins, friends and neighbours.
Catriona said, “Myself and my wonderful ladies Karen, Marie, Sarah and Maura are all going to raise money for the Parkinson's Association of Ireland and complete the Women’s VHI Mini Marathon on June 4 in honour and memory of my Dad, who was truly the most amazing person ever.”

Catriona concluded by highlighting that every donation will help. “Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.”
