Main road into Longford town reopens following emergency repairs to burst water main

A section of the Athlone Road, running parallel to the Mastertech Buiness Park in Townparks outside Longford Town has been reopened following the completion of emergency work on a burst water main.
The road was closed for a number of hours today while work was being carried out by Uisce Éireann crews.
With repairs now complete, diversions are no longer in place. Water supply in the area is also expected to return to normal by 4pm.
