Christmas has come early for Longford Women's Link as the organisation has been awarded a grant of €22,500 by the RTE Toy Show Appeal.

This grant will fund a unique programme which trains school guidance counsellors to identify and address domestic abuse and unhealthy teenage relationships, equipping them with the skills to support students and refer them to LWL’s adolescent art psychotherapy for specialised therapy.

CEO of LWL, Tara Farrell stated that “this programme will have a significant impact on the lives of children and young people and we are delighted to have been selected as one of the successful projects as part of the RTE Toy Show Appeal.”

The RTE Toy Show Appeal funds essential support, health, wellbeing, play and creativity which aim to change children’s lives for good.
