Experienced Longford stage star Grainne Fox all set for St Mel’s Musical Society ‘Me And My Girl’

Grainne Fox - (Lady Jacqueline)  

A lady of many artistic talents, Grainne Fox first joined St Mel's Musical Society in 2000 for the production of ‘Me And My Girl’ - and is really excited about playing the part of Lady Jacqueline as 'Me And My Girl' returns to the Longford stage 25 years on! 

The versatile performer played the part of Eleanor Dunbar in ‘Footloose,’ Paulette in ‘Legally Blonde’ last year, and she was cast as one of the principal characters in the 2019 production of ‘9 to 5’.

The highlight for her on the Longford musical stage was performing the leading lady role of Sarah Brown in ‘Guys and Dolls’ in 2010.

She is also a member of Longford Variety Group, Killoe Yew Tree Players (Dramatic Society) and Granard Folk Group and has enjoyed taking part in and coaching groups for Scór and Community Games over the years.

Grainne studied Music in UCD, completed a Graduate Diploma in Music Education in UL, went on to study Primary Teaching and currently teaches 5th class in Killoe N.S. She lives in Granard with her husband and 3 young children.

Featuring such favourite musical numbers as ‘Leaning on a Lamp Post’, ‘The Lambeth Walk’, ‘The Sun Has Got His Hat On’ and the theme song ‘Me And My Girl’, along with other classic tunes, this is a show not to be missed and early booking is advised for a seat in the fully tiered venue in St Mel’s College Sports Hall such is the big demand for the tickets
