The Ballymahon Vocational School Under 19 Senior Men's Basketball Squad produced two absolutely phenomenal performances on the same day in overcoming two tough opponents to secure their passage to an All-Ireland U19 C League Final appearance.
Last Thursday, at Tallaght Stadium, the boys dug deep to get the victory over a brilliant Ennistymon team, showing the heart, bravery and determination of warriors.
Oran Killian knocking down 22 points in the first game saw him as the MVP, with a massive shout-out to both Jack Doran and John McCormack on a spectacular defensive performance.
The semi-finals saw captain Jamie Brady top scorer for BVS with 17 points. The boys played some beautiful basketball with every member racking up scores for BVS.
Shout-out to Brian Mulvey for excellent tactical awareness in game to nullify the offense of the Kerry side, Phobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne.
All students represented their respective schools so well and should be proud of their achievements.
The boys have worked tirelessly to reach this stage and it is great to see the hard work pay off.
Once again, a very special word of recognition for our very own Coach Carter - Mr McCormack. This man has worked tirelessly too and has given his time selflessly to get the best out of these young man.
