Longford swimmer Jessica Neary, medals winner at the McCullagh International Championships at the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin last weekend
After the excitement has settled, we want to say a huge well done to Holly, Scott, Richie, Izabella, Jessica, Julia and Ashley. Qualifying for the McCullagh International Championships is an amazing achievement.
Holly Cullen, Richie Gavican, Julia Warchol and Ashley Weafer delivered some fantastic swims across the meet last weekend at the National Aquatic Centre in Dublin.
Izabella Lehany McGoldrick, Jessica Neary and Scott Duda earned places in finals in several of their events - a brilliant achievement at such a high level of competition.
Scott swam finals in:
-400 IM - finishing 9th
-200 IM - finishing 7th
-200 Back - just outside the top 10 and the first 17-year-old home
Izabella swam finals in:
-50 Back - 8th overall and first 16-year-old
-50 Fly - top 20 and 3rd 16-year-old
-100 Back - 14th overall and 2nd 16-year-old
-50 Free - top 20 and first 16-year-old
Amazing performances across all her swims with PBs and a great sign for the future.
Jessica qualified for four age group finals (13/14) after excellent swims and great PBs.
-100 Free - Silver medal
-200 Free - Silver medal
-400 Free - Bronze medal after a very close finish
Fantastic performances from all our Longford swimmers - you should all be very proud of yourselves.
