Locally owned Kilashee flying over the final hurdle on the way to winning easily at the Ballinrobe Races last week.

Running in the colours of the Bitview partnership, led by Killashee native Fr Shay Casey, it was a third horse racing success for the remarkable mare in the space of 10 days following the fantastic wins at Kilbeggan (hurdle) and Killarney (chase).

Ridden by jockey Shane Fitzgerald, the unstoppable Kilashee is trained by John Ryan whose stables are situated in Fairyhill, Templemore, Co Tipperary.

The versatile mare has won a total of six races and is now taking a well deserved break before the next target at the Listowel Festival in September.
