Longford Boxer Cian Leddy a winner in the Monkstown Cup

Cian Leddy, crowned Boy 1 76+kg Monkstown International Boxing Cup Champion

12-year-old Cian Leddy from Granard was crowned Boy 1 76+kg  Monkstown International Boxing Cup Champion in Dublin on Sunday last.  

Training hard all year out of Olympic Boxing Club in Mullingar under the guidance of Head Coach John Joe Joyce, the first title win for Cian this season was in the Leinster Youth Championship.

He then moved forward to pick up the All-Ireland title in his division and Cian continued to train hard in preparation for the Monkstown International Boxing Cup with the reward of a third title this year. 

Under the close watch of his proud parents James and Michelle, young Leddy has enjoyed significant success in his boxing exploits and will now focus his attention on playing Gaelic football for the Granard U-12s for the summer months before the new boxing season starts in September.
