Longford and Roscommon produce another Irish boxing champion in Michael Nevin

Youths boxing in Longford and the surrounding region has enjoyed a tremendous success rate this year and the latest Irish champion is 14-year-old Michael Nevin.

Living in Tarmonbarry, the St Mel’s College student Michael has won Roscommon, Galway,  Connacht and All-Ireland titles in his promising boxing career and was unlucky to lose in the finals of the Junior Cadets.

We are sure to hear a lot more about the talented young Nevin in his chosen sport and he is making his parents Michael and Samantha proud with his exploits in the ring.
