Leinster Youths Boxing Champion . . . Longford's Sean Og Browne

Longford’s Sean Og Browne was crowned Leinster Youths Boxing Champion in his category at the recent provincial championships in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford

Sean Og won his semi-final against Adam Mooney from Offaly and boxed a very clever fight to set up a final bout against Jamie Lennon of Dundalk.

Young Browne shaded the first round and he then put his opponent on the backfoot for the 2nd and 3rd rounds, landing some very good combinations and finishing in good style in winning by unanimous decision.

Affiliated to Ballynacargy Boxing Club, Sean Og now goes on to the All-Irelands in April.

Hard luck to his club colleague Declan McGerr who lost out in a very close fight. Declan is also from Longford and both boys are coached by Ballynacargy Boxing Club coaches Camillus Kelly and Gordon Ward.
