Siobhán Talbot, long-time member of Carrick-on-Shannon Golf Club and well known to Longford lady golfers, is one of 25 people selected for the Druids Glen hole-in-one competition this Friday, June 1. The selection process was run in conjunction with Ian Dempsey’s Today FM Breakfast Show and the event will include over 50 golfers vying for top accolades on the day.
Ms Talbot boasts a handicap of 13 and will return from Druids Glen to play in her native club’s Classic Competition which takes place from Friday, June 1 to Monday, June 4. Entry per team is e200 including meal or 180 without meal.
Each player will receive a goodie bag prior to play and it will be two scores count on each hole. A prize is up for grabs for the longest drive and nearest the pin and winners of the Classic will receive e1,000 in cash. There is also a ‘Yellow Ball’ competition where each team is allocated a marked yellow ball. The ball will rotate between each player and the total score of the yellow ball will make up the team’s score.
