Paddy Christie's reign as Longford senior football manager began this evening with a very convincing 3-18 to 0-13 O'Byrne Cup victory over Laois in Portarlington. Dessie Reynolds, Dylan Farrell and Daniel Mimnagh bagged the goals for Longford, all in the first half as they established a 3-10 to 0-3 interval advantage. Christie emptied his bench during the second half with James McGivney, Robbie Smyth and Peter Foy among those introduced.
