Longford man charged with causing criminal damage to house

Accused of causing damage to a smart TV, a table lamp, a shoe rack
A man charged with causing criminal damage to a house in Longford town, is due to reappear in court in October.
Oisín Doyle (24), of 28 Springlawn, Longford, appeared last Tuesday before Judge Fiona Brennan at Longford District Court.
Sergeant Mark Mahon, for the state, told the court that on July 16 of last year, it is alleged that Mr Doyle caused damage to a smart TV, a table lamp, a shoe rack and the front door hinges of the property.
The total estimated value of the damaged property was almost €300, he added.
The accused is also charged with two separate section 2 assaults, which allegedly occurred at the property on the same date.
Mr Doyle was not represented by a solicitor last week and the court ordered disclosure be made directly to the accused.
He was remanded on continuing bail and will reappear on October 1, 2024.
