Santa Dash

The 2nd annual Lisryan Santa Dash will take place on Sunday, December 6th at 2pm. Dust off your trainers (and Christmas jumpers!) and join your neighbours for a fun family day out. Don’t forget to pop in to the Crossroads Inn for some post dash refreshments.

Streete Lotto

Numbers drawn in Streete Parish Park Lotto on Monday, 23rd November were 14, 23, 27 and 29. There was no jackpot winner. €40 winners were Philomena McHugh, Springtown, Granard; Alison Murphy, Streete and Evelyn Rushe, Longford. Next Lotto draw is on Monday, 7th December when the jackpot will be €7,800. Thank you for supporting our community.

Streete Wildlife Club

The club Game Cooking night is on Friday, 18th December next in Murphy’s Crossroads Inn, Lisryan with chef Paul Bergin. There will be a selection of game dishes to sample on the night. Admission is free, all are welcome and the club would especially like to see all landowners on the night. Following the demonstration there will be music etc. compliments of Pauline at the Crossroads Inn.

Streete Playground

A meeting was held in Streete Parish Park on Thursday last and a new committee was formed to oversee the playground. It was then decided to hold another meeting on next Thursday, 3rd December at 8.30pm. There are some repairs needed at the playground and a report from Westmeath County Council will be available at this meeting. Thus we will then be in a position to move forward and have the playground in use again as soon as possible. We look forward to a good attendance on Thursday next.
