The next meeting of Ardagh ICA guild will be held on Tuesday, 8th December at 8pm in Heritage Centre. New members always welcome. Congratulations to Maggie, Ann, Mary and Jenny on the winning the Cookery Cup competition at Federation meeting in Moydow, Very well done ladies.

An Enchanted Woodland Christmas

Visit Santa without the queue this Christmas together with a Family Art Workshop, Christmas Storytime and lots more fun. Sat 12th; Sun 13th; Sat 19th ; Sun 20th December 2015 3.00pm. Night at the Dogs

The G.A.A. night at the dogs takes place on Saturday, 5th December in Mullingar greyhound track. Tickets €20 includes return bus from Ardagh and entry to the dogs and €2,000 bumper race draw. A great night out in store, so get your ticket from any member of the committee as they are selling fast and places are limited.


Well done to St. Patrick’s G.A.A. Junior Scor competitors on winning club of the year award. Mary Ann Lynch won the solo singing, while KT Lynch, Mary Ann, Adam Callan, Aisling and Siobhan won best ballad group and Rachel won the recitation.

Sympathy is extended to The Lyons family, Ardagh Village on the death of Fr Patrick Lyons in Nebraska U.S.A. May he rest in peace. A Memorial mass takes place in St Brigid’s Church, Ardagh on Tuesday, 8th December at 7pm.


The death took place last week in England of Maureen Gill, late of Cross, Ardagh, to her daughter Marian, brother Bill Joe, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, deepest sympathy is extended. May she rest in peace.

Book Launch - You are invited to the launch by Sinead Hussey, RTE of The Myths, Legends and History of Ardagh through the ages by Anne Byrne in Ardagh Heritage and Creativity Centre on Thursday, 10 December 2015 at 8.30pm. All welcome.
