NS Parents Association

Dromard NS Parents Association held their AGM on 24th September 2015 and would like to thank everyone who attended. The newly appointed committee is as follows: chairperson: Fiona Holloway, asst chairperson: Oonagh Donnelly, secretary: Pauline Kenny, Asst secretary: Noeleen Reilly, treasurer: Maria McAvenia; PRO: Gerry McCabe. A class rep was also appointed for each class. We would also like to thank those who have stepped down this year. The PA would also like to thank all parents & the local community for all their support in the past year. It is through this local support & generosity that we have a national school to be proud of & we look forward to your continued support in the coming year.

Arva parish concert

On Friday October 30, 2015 at 8pm Breffni Arms Hotel Arva when the famed Mullahoran Players will be back in town with Mrs Browns Boyz, also a host of local artists. Proceeds to Multiple Sclerosis and parish.

Community meeting

We are pleased to announce that Longford will host one of Bank of Ireland’s Enterprise Towns for 2015. Through this initiative Bank of Ireland and the Longford business community are working together to support local business. In addition we will involve the wider community and our local schools through a range of different activities. To hear more about the plans for your Enterprise Town and/or to get involved please join us in Longford Arms Hotel next Thursday 29th October at 6.30pm.

Irish dancing classes

The Marian Kiernan Irish dancing classes take place each Friday in Moyne Community Centre from 5.30 – 6.30pm.
