Ladies Minor Semi-Final
Kilbride 4-10 St Barry’s 1-7, St Barry’s Ladies Minor team were knocked out of the Championship by a stronger Kilbride outfit in a windswept Kilbride on Sunday. Kilbride exploded into the game, and their first 3 scores were all ‘soccer style’ goals from close range. The Barry’s girls got a foothold in the game after this early burst and competed well after this initial period, but they were always playing catch-up. Team: Rebecca Cox, Laura Beirne, Rhiannon Cox, Shauna Rogan, Mollie Fisher, Aoife McLoughlin, Ailish O’Reilly, Denise Bennett, Geraldine Farrell, Aine Halpin, Sarah McVeigh, Grainne Gaynor (1-1), Lauren Bannaghan, Claire McGlynn (0-1), Adrianne Brennan Subs: Nadine Murphy 0-3, Ann-Marie Murphy, Leanne Carrington, Annie McGarry, Rachel Doorley.
The combined St Barry’s/Kilglass U21s were well beaten by a strong Tulsk side in the U21 championship. The first half was very competitive, with only a scrappy Tulsk goal separating the sides, but Tulsk moved up the gears in the second half and ran out comprehensive winners on a scoreline of Tulsk 4-19 St Barry’s/Kilglass 0-11
