Congratulations to Mark and Lena Recce-Leonard, Aughaboy, Killoe on the birth of a beautiful baby girl last week . And welcome loving friend for siblings Lily, Nathan, Cian, Reece. Tickets 25 euro pp. Regional Mass for deceased members of Pioneers in Newtownforbes Friday, 21 November 2014 at 7pm. Killoe deceased members Mass on 20 November 2014 in St Mary’s Ennybegs at 11am. Condolence was extended to the Prunty and Mullin families on the bereavement of Jimmy Prunty, Clontumpher and Tommy Mullin, Rhyne, Killoe. May they rest peacefully.

Requiem mass was celebrated in St Mary’s Church Ennybegs with burial in Aughaboy cemetery. May he rest in peace.

Enrolment Mass

First holy communion/confirmation enrolment mass will be celebrated for children/ parents in St Mary’s Church, Ennybegs on Thursday, 9 October 2014 at 7pm. All parishioners are very welcome to attend this mass.

The parish also express sincere condolence to Judy Mahon, (nee O’Quigley, ex vice principal St Theresa’s NS, Killoe) and families, Corboy, Co Longford, sons Collin, Leonard, daughters Tomasinna, Hilary O’Quigley, Gort, Co Galway, Tom Mahon and families, Aughaboy, Killoe, sons/daughters in law, grandchildren, extended families, friends on the sad bereavement of their father, Tomas O’Quigley who was recently laid to rest. Requiem mass was celebrated in St Colman’s Church, Gort with burial in local cemetery. May all their souls rest in peace.

Church news

St Mary’s Ennybegs, mass Wednesday 10am, Thursday 7pm, Friday no mass (wedding outside parish). Exposition blessed sacrament both churches Wednesdays 6-9pm. Pastoral parish meeting on Monday last passed noted points – parish envelopes, those who wish to receive only one box of parish envelopes please advise Fr Sean. Vocations only two students in Maynooth – Deacon Rev Seamus O’Rourke will be ordained in June 2015. Please pray for vocations.

Killoe Celtic

Congratulation from Cullyfad Community Groups to Emmet Ờg senior team on winning the Sean Connolly Cup. It was a great achievement and we wish you all the best in the Leinster championship. Bingo this Wednesday night at 8.30pm and this week the bonus number is worth €1120 and €520 to be won on “Spin the Wheel”. Congratulations to Liz Kilbride who won €1,000 on “Spin the wheel” last week. Well done Liz and we hope you enjoy you win. We would like to extend our sympathy to the Mullen family Rhyne on the death of Tommy R.I.P. Tommy was a founder member of Cullyfad Community Centre and is fondly remembered by all.
