Championship final

Hard luck to Sean Connolly’s team who suffered a one point defeat in the Intermediate Final in Pearse Park last Saturday. They put up a fantastic display of skill in both matches. They did themselves, the club and the parish proud. Well done to team management and all the back-room support. The team now represent Longford in the Leinster Junior Championship. They play the Kildare champions, Straffen on Sunday, 26th October.

County Champions

Congratulations to our neighbours, Killoe, on their fantastic win in last Sunday’s County Final. We wish them well representing Longford in the Leinster Championship.

The John Dungan Branch of Comhaltas will hold their AGM on Thursday night at 9pm in the offices of the Granard Area Action Group. All welcome. Thanks to all who attended our music session and presentation in Farrell’s Lounge recently. Watch this space for further news of more sessions. As the new year started on September 1st, it is time to renew your membership.
