‘Triple P’ Parenting Programme

This highly recommended parenting programme will run in the centre in November for parents/grandparents/carers of children 0-11yrs. You can book through the centre or contact Catherine or Anne on 086 4143518.

For children experiencing loss through separation or bereavement starts Nov 3rd at 6pm.

Simply Singing for Wellbeing

Find your singing voice with our ‘Group Singing’ workshops every Tuesdays at 12 noon to 1pm. All welcome.

Public Speaking through Theatre

Every Monday evening at 7pm led by professional Drama Teacher & Public Speaker.

STEPS to Excellence in Personal Success

A six week programme combining goal setting, positive living tools and confidence building. The course will start on October 13th at 10am. Full details from Catherine at the centre.

Granard Art Club

Help wanted for Art/Photographic Exhibition to create awareness around world poverty. Wednesdays 10am to 12 noon. Come and visit the Exhibition launched on Oct. 15th Coffee morning with proceeds going to Christian Aid and Doctors without Borders. Knitting/Craft Club about to commence call centre for further details.

Fitness & Exercise Classes

Tai Chi Thursdays 7pm. Zumba classes Wed. the 1st Oct. 6pm. Contact centre. Pilates: starts on Oct. 29th. 7-9pm Contact Geraldine on 085 1217559 to book your place. Dancing: Set Dancing every Monday 7pm Social Dancing including Jiving etc: Each Tuesday at 8pm. Open to all. Glee Club: Sat 2.00 – 3.30.

Thursday the 9th October. First & Second Yr. students welcome. Pre teen Boys & Girls Clubs – Tues and Thursdays as normal. Parent & Toddler Club: Oct. 8th. at 11am. All welcome.

Irish Heart Foundation

Lus na Gréine in conjunction with Granards Men Shed will host The Irish Heart foundation mobile. We urge people to avail of this opportunity on Friday the 10th of October from 10an to 1pm. Health checks are free. All welcome.

Horticulture FETAC Level 3: In collaboration with Longford Westmeath Education & Training Board we are pleased to offer a Horticulture course. It is a great local opportunity with practical hands on learning in our Tunnels and in the community garden space. Applications now being taken and subject to interest the course will kick off later this month. A celebration and presentation of Certificates for the 2013/2014 course participants will happen shortly.
