Garden open day

The astounding gardens of Paddy and Mary Gillooley, Mill Road, Drumlish are once again open to the public on Saturday, 24 May from 10am – 6.30pm. Admission is optional and all proceeds are in aid of Carol Galvin Forde Fund. Everyone is very welcome.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Ennybegs, Killoe with burial in Cullyfad cemetery, Kiloe. May she rest peacefully.

Down Syndrome Ireland

The annual Hazelbrook Farm Ice Cream Fun day event will be held at Arthur and Loretta Stewarts house, Bundoon, Killoe on Friday, 30 May from 12 noon – 6pm. All proceeds in aid of Down Syndrome Ireland and everyone is very welcome.


Well when this edition of the Longford Leader is hot on the shelves, we will be escalating towards another feverish commitment in our lives with the local elections on Friday, 23 May and decisions of almighty decisions to be made. We extend good luck to all candidates in their varied fields for a successful feedback and hopefully, you will be out there to throw around some clout in maintaining support to their small rural business, communities and village enterprises.
