We extend sincere sympathy to the son and daughter-in-law of the late Joe Coyle, Kilcogy Lr. who died in London recently. He was predeceased by his brothers Patsy and Terry and sisters Mary and Peggy and is survived by his sister Kathleen, Kilcogy; Nancy, U.S.A; Seamus, Mullingar; and Sean, Legginney. Funeral took place in London. May he rest in peace.
At the Irish National Dancing competitions in Citywest at the weekend, Fionn Higgins, Mullahoran took first place in Boys aged 7-8 and his sister Enya was 3rd in Girls age 8-9 and Cormac McKeogh came 4th in Boys aged 10-11. Well done to the winners and to all who took part.
Blessing of Graves
This year Cemetery Sunday will take place in the parish on the weekend of July 5/6th. Graves will be blessed in Loughduff following the 7pm Mass on Saturday evening, 5th and in Mullahoran following the 11am Mass on Sunday morning. In the meantime all plot holders are asked to make a special effort to prepare the cemeteries and take away all rubbish please.

The Latin School Players wish to announce that another performance of their very popular play Kevin’s Bed will take place in the Latin School Community Centre on Saturday, 24th May at 8.30pm. The Group played to a full house on their previous three nights and have received very positive reviews from all those who attended, a play for young and old, a play not to be missed. Granard Community Library
Bealtaine festival continues throughout the month of May with two special events in the new Library. Tuesday 27th Granard Mens group host an afternoon of music, song and chat at 2pm and on Thursday May 29th at 8pm. Granard Writers Group launch their new CD of stories, prose, and poetry with special guest Noel Monahan. Please note that throughout the month of May, all senior citizens who join the library are given free library membership.
