Deepest Sympathy is extended to the Beirne and Scollan families on the death of Mrs. Agnes Scollan wife of the late Cornellus Scollan, 10 Autumn View, Summerhill, Carrick-on-Shannon and formerly, Ardloughter, Drumsna mother of Irene Beirne, (Annaduff), Agnes Lyons, (England),Christina Gordon, (Roscrea), Liam Scollan, (Sligo). Agnes is sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, daughter-in-law, sons-in- law, nieces and nephews. Removal took place to St. Mary’s Church, Ck-on-Shannon with burial in Kiltoghert Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

Harvest Festival

Bornacoola Development Association are holding their annual Lough Rynn Harvest Festival in the grounds of Lough Rynn Castle, Mohill on Sunday August 25th. Vintage Cars, Tractors etc, craft, street theatre. The Guinness Jazz Band and Cool Hand Dukes provide the music.

Annaduff win

Annaduff retained their Junior “A” status by beating Carrigallen by 4-20 to 1-4 in Cloone on Sunday last. This was the best performance by the Junior team this year with all six forwards and two midfielders scoring. The basic of the win was midfield where Gerry Newton and Brendan Guckian were in control. Lough Derg Pilgrimage

The big Local Derby between Annaduff and Bornacoola was postponed on Saturday last as Drumreilly want the Championship to be arbitrated on by the Disputes Resoloution Authority in Croke Park. There seems to be utter confusion at this stage.
