Special Sitting of Mohill District Court!
The closure of Courthouses around the country has upset and angered many people and none more than the people of Mohill. However, a special sitting of Mohill District Court will be held on 2 May 2015 in the Hunt Hall, Castle Street, Mohill at 9pm! The last special sitting of Mohill District Court took place last May 2014 when Judge John James Sharkey presided over Percy French v The West Clare Railway Company. Percy French won his case and was awarded £10 plus expenses. Now the West Clare Railway is counter suing Percy French. Judge John James Sharkey will preside over the case. It all relates to the song ‘Are Ya right there Michael are ya right’ which Percy composed after he won his case last May. The West Clare Railway is suing Percy for Libel and Slander. In the meantime, statements are being taken from various witnesses and they will be examined and cross examined on the day by two very eminent counsels, Mr Bailey and Mr Considine. The Co. Leitrim Percy French Society is summoning everyone to come out and support Percy against the might of the West Clare Railway so that Percy can enjoy his party the following night Sunday 3 May 2015! Regular updates will be posted between now and the Court date! Come to Court on Saturday, 2 May 2015 at 9:00pm in the Hunt Hall, Castle Street, Mohill. This is an original script written by Tish Dunleavy and produced by Frank Cadam. Then come and celebrate Percy’s Party on Sunday night 3 May at 9:00pm in the Hunt Hall, Castle Street, Mohill where the County Leitrim Percy French performing group will perform some fantastically witty Percy French songs they haven’t performed before.
The Mohill Family Support Centre’s Outreach Service will be available in Carrigallen’s Primary Care Centre every Tuesday from 10:00am to 12:30pm.
