Community Games News: The county final of the Community Games was held on Saturday last June 9 in Ballymahon. Killashee was very well represented with twenty children representing their parish. A small number of children failed to turn up on the day and unfortunately that meant that some other child was deprived of the opportunity of taking part. Congratulations to all our athletes, all of whom wore their Killashee shirt with pride, many of them qualifying for finals and narrowly missing out on medals. Well done to Bronagh Kiely who won a silver medal U8. Aine Kiely who won a gold medal U10 and Orla Duffy who won a gold medal U14. Aine and Orla now go on to the National Finals in Athlone which will take place in August. Thank you to all the parents who helped out on the day and supported all the children.
