Derrymacar, Derrindiff and Derrycolumb: Marie and Liam Bermingham, Monday 17th. Cleraun and Lismagawley: Brigid Healy, Wednesday 19th. Tipper and Curroole: Séamus Murray,Thursday 20th. Forthill: Julia O’Shea, Friday 21st. Claras and Cross: Yvonne and Jack Healy, Wednesday 26th. Loughfarm and Elfeet: Bridge and Gabriel Mulvihill, Friday 28th. Confessions at 7.45pm. Mass at 8pm.


Everyone is hard at work on this seasons production “Philadelphia Here I Come” written by Brian Friel. Cast are busy rehearsing, make-up are all organised and the stage is coming together beautifully. Opening Friday, February 21st and running through Saturday 22nd to Sunday 23rd, by kind permission of Samuel French Ltd. We hope fans of Amateur drama will join us once again in The Hill, Newtowncashel for a great nights entertainment.

Tidy Towns

Newtowncashel Tidy Towns holds it’s monthly meeting in ‘The Hill’, this Wednesday, 5th of February at 8pm. The customary full attendance is anticipated.

Community Games

Congratulations to the Community Games Quiz teams on their great display at the County finals in Edgeworthstown last Friday night. They did Cashel proud, with one team going on to represent Longford at the National finals in Athlone in August. Those involved were Cathy Kelly, David Sweeney, Eoin Mulvihill, Brian Kelly, Joseph Kenny, Luke Mulvihill, Daniel Farrell, Conor Skelly and Jamie Bermingham. Well done to all.

Credit Union Quiz

Well done to St. Mary’s National School Quiz team who came second, after a tie break in the Annual Quiz held in Ballyleague last Sunday. Team was Joseph Kenny, Conor Skelly, Eabhan Slattery and Emma Casey.
