Gathering Mass & Social

The Gathering Mass took place in St Brendan’s Church on Saturday evening last, celebrated by Rev Fr Nigel Charles of the parish of Clondra/ Killashee. A good size crowd attended. For those unable to return for the celebration, two large charts were on display with all the list of names of living relatives, scattered all over the globe, who have family or connections to this area. They were remembered with fondness during the mass. A special gathering followed in the old school Clondra with lovely home baking of cakes etc where locals chatted and mixed and exchanged family stories. A big thank you to the parish committee members for all their hard work over the past few weeks in organising the event. Thanks also to all the ladies for their lovely home made baking and donated refreshments. A special word of thank to Bernie, Teresa and Seamus who took care of things in the Clondra end of the parish.
