JAMES MIMNAGH: It was with genuine regret I learned of the death of Jim Mimnagh Gortfadden, Mohill who died in the loving care of the doctors nurses and staff at Sligo General Hospital on the 16th April 2013. Jim was a great family man, a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was blessed with many qualities. He was a noted bango player with a love for traditional music. A native of Drumlish he and his dear wife Jackie and family moved to Gortfadda some years ago where they have many good neighbours and friends who shall miss Jim but remember him with great affection. The very large attendance at his removal to St Patricks Church Mohill and again at his concelebrated Mass followed by burial in Clonmorris cemetery was indeed testimony to the very high esteem in which he and dear wife Jackie, sons, daughters in law, grandson, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews nieces and their extended families were held in the community and to whom I offer my deepest sympathy.
