Gun Club: A meeting of the Club will be held in the Shooting grounds in Derragh on this Thursday night the 6th of December at 9pm Sharpe. Members with their tickets sold please return for our Christmas Draw and Party on Saturday night the 22nd of December. All members please attend the meeting. The Gun Club are holding their Annual Christmas Draw and Party in Crawford’s Lounge on Saturday the 22nd of December, music on the night is by Na Fianna. Tickets for their draw are now on sale by club members and in local shops, 1st prize €500, 2nd prize €300, 3rd prize €200 and 4th prize €100; tickets cost €2 each or 3 for €5.
Fundraiser: Abbeylara Parish presented the story of the Titanic last Friday Night. A good crowd attended and a great night’s entertainment was had by all. All funds raised go towards the new community center.

Deaths: Your prayers are requested for the happy repose of the souls of; Mary Kate Reilly, Rinroe, who died on Thursday 22nd November and for Owen McGeer, Kilfintan, who died on Monday 26th November. May they Rest In Peace.

New offertory boxes of Envelopes: These come into effect this weekend Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd December Hopefully everyone has got their box. Anyone who has not received their box, please let us know in order to receive your box. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. New families/individuals who have come to our parish are very welcome, please inform us so that you may receive your box. Thank you for collecting your boxes in the Churches. Thanks also to those who prepared the boxes and to those who distributed the boxes not collected. Thanks very much for your on-going generous financial contributions to the offertory and other collections. These finances are needed and are used for the day to day running expenses of our parish.

Table Quiz: A very special thank you to everybody who came to our quiz on Friday last. We had a very enjoyable night and the winning team was Maureen, Bernard, Susan & Maggie. Senior Citizens Christmas Party: Takes place on Sunday 9th December in Crawford’s Lounge, Abbeylara with Mass at 1pm followed by a full Christmas dinner and then live entertainment. All of these events are in Carwford’s Lounge. All our Senior Citizens are most welcome.

GRANARD GARDEN CLUB: The Christmas floral demonstration night will be held on Monday December 10 at 8-00pm in Lus Na Greine with special guest Timothy Elliot from Lisnaskea. Refreshments will be served on the night and the floral displays will be raffled and the evening is open to all so come early to ensure a good seat.
SENIOR CITIZENS PARTY: The annual senior citizens Christmas party will be held in Lus Na Greine on Sunday December 16th next and all senior citizens from Granard Mullinalaghta and Abbeylara are invited to attend. A full Christmas dinner will be served and there will be plenty of music and dancing so come along and enjoy the evening.
SANTA IN GRANARD: Friday evening next will be a very exciting evening in Granard when Santa and Mrs.Clause will make a visit to the town. Santa will arrive at 5-30 and there will be a great party in the community centre and following that the Christmas lights will be switched on at 8-pm. All children and their parents are invited.
