Lough Derg

St Mary’s Ennybegs, Masses Wednesday/ Thursday Friday at 10am. Exposition blessed sacrament in both churches Wednesdays 6- 9pm. Cemetery Sunday 28 June 2015, St Oliver’s cemetery at 9.30am. Aughaboy cemetery at 11am. Old Killoe blessing graves cemetery at 12.30pm. St Eimers blessing of graves at 2pm, Sunday 28 June 2015. Clonbroney cemetery afternoon 28 June 2015 followed by mass in Church at 3pm. A collection will be taken up at cemetery gate.


Deacon Seamus O’Rourke, Colmcille was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Francis Duffy on Sunday last in St Mel’s Cathedral Longford. And will serve in the Diocese’s of Ardagh and Clonmacnois. The parish extend congratulations to Fr Seamus and his families for many blessings of great health and happiness in his pastoral ministry.

Congratulations to Elaine Quinn, daughter of Michael and Frances, Drumure who exchanged nuptial vows with Jason Donoghue, Longford joined by families and friends in St Mary’s Church, Newtownbforbes who later enjoyed a sumptuous reception in Clover House Hotel Cavan. The parish express very good wishes for a great future of health and happiness to Jason, Elaine and their families.

New babies

Congratulations to Stephen and Lorraine Rooney, (nee Casey, formerly Ohill, Killoe, Co Longford), Ballymore, Co Westmeath on the recent birth of a beautiful baby girl. The parish extend good wishes to the proud parents, grandparents, families for a future filled with great health and happiness. Welcome baby Michelle Mai to the community.

Killoe old graveyard

Canal walk
