First Friday: Fr. Michael Bannon will be doing the First Friday calls next Friday in the Drumlish Area at the usual times. The Ballinamuck calls will be done the following Friday.

Village Enhancement: Longford Community Resources via Keystone Architects & Urban Designers are facilitating a meeting for representatives from every group & activity that makes up our village and surrounds. The meeting is scheduled for next Monday 29th August at 7.30 p.m. in the Community Centre. This is a chance for each to express what you think would enhance the village and surrounds. All interest groups: Community Watch, Community Assoc.; Golf Society; Soccer Group, GAA; Arts & Heritage reps, Youth Club, Tidy Towns, Senior Citizens; Cycling Group, Water Sports, Walking Groups, School Representation; Church - Parish Council, New residents from new estates please come along and contribute to this important meeting. LCRL has funding to help local communities create an Area Enhancement Plan and implement practical projects shaping the communities external environment. Keystone Architects will return in 3 weeks & make a presentation of the ideas that emerged from Monday’s meeting. Spread the word.
