We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the late Tom Pat Early, Drumgowlagh, Kilnagross who passed away on Thursday last at his home. Tom Pat was was laid to rest in Kiltoghert cemetery on Sunday last. May he rest in Peace.

Leitrim’s GOAL mile
The 11th annual Leitrim GOAL mile will take place on New Year’s Day at the Bornacoola gaa club grounds in Dromod kicking off at 2pm. As usual this years special guest will be the “rock n roll” kid Charlie McGettican. There will auction and entertainment afterwards in the Copper Still. This year GOAL are delighted to inform you that 25%of the funds raised will go towards “Goalies” life saving work in Sierra Leone. In our parish we are very proud of our own Fiona Gannon who is managing GOAL’s emergency response in Sierra Leone. We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the late Frank Reynolds, Lucan, Co. Dublin and formerly from Stuck, Eslin Bridge who passed away last week. Frank was laid to rest in Mohill cemetery on Friday last. May he rest in Peace.
The annual Bornacoola Gun club draw will take place this Friday, 19th December in the Copper Still bar. Members are currently selling cards and your support is appreciated. Pencil in next Friday night to kick start your Christmas where there will be numerous prizes, good fun and music by Tom Moran.
Cloonturk Christmas choir
As we all know by now Cloonturk choir get together once a year for Christmas, it’s round to that time of year again and a practice is needed so can we all meet for a half hour after 9.30pm Mass on this Sunday morning and as always newcomers are very welcome.

Congratulations to Bornacoola’s Trath na gCeist team of Cian & Shane Mallon, Sean O’Riordan and Michelle Hackett who won the Leitrim County final with full marks and go through to the All Ireland final to represent the club on February 14th 2015 in City West Dublin. Hard luck to our figure dancers who were narrowly beaten by 1/2 a mark.

17th Roscommon Kilglass/Tarmonbarry Scout Group wish to express their sincere thanks to all who attended our First Annual Scout Christmas Fair and Family Fun Day on Sunday, 7th December. A huge thanks to all involved and making this event possible. What a day of fun was had! Special thanks to Tommy Gaffney for use of his premises and his patience and assistance. The walk will take place on St. Stephen’s day starting at 12 noon wit registration from 11am location Annaduff Community centre fee for adults €10 with spot prizes all are welcome.
