First Holy Communion
On Sunday morning, May 18th last, Fr Patrick Moore PP, Castlepollard, administered the sacraments of First Holy Communion in St Mary’s Church, Finea to the first class children from St Mary’s NS Finea. They were Nicole Curran, Eimear McGarry, Jessica Flynn & Jamie Kiernan who each looked resplendent in their individual outfits. The ceremony was very much enhanced by the part-taking of the children in the readings and also through the involvement of all the pupils in the special children’s choir, who rendered most appropriate hymns for the occasions. They were certainly a credit to their parents and teachers. We congratulate all four children and trust that they had a most memorable & enjoyable day.
The annual Bar-B-Q in aid of Castletown Finea church funds will be held in Watty’s Rock next Sunday, June 1st commencing at 5pm. Music by Adrian Connelly. Raffle and prizes galore. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
