The Annual Ardagh\Moydow\Glen Community Games Church gate collection will take place this coming weekend, March 22 & 23. This collection goes directly to the Community Games activities that take part in our parish giving opportunities for the children to progress on to County and National level. So far this year AMG has five teams going forward from winning at County level to upcoming Leinster rounds: U12 Chess, U16 Chess, U15 Girls Badminton, U10 Girls Indoor Soccer and U13 Boys Table Tennis. Three children will be taking part in the County Handwriting Final and six children in the County Talent Final. Your generosity is much appreciated.
Practice has begun for U-11 & U-14 Tag Rugby, mixed teams for girls and boys. This was a very popular event last year so be sure you give your name to Eamon O’Kane if you want to be in the competition. Training continues every Thursday indoors at Edgeworthstown Hall at 6:30pm. AMG has entered teams in both age groups and we hope the children enjoy it as much as last year.
