Ballinamuck Olde Fair Day

Our 3rd annual Ballinamuck Olde Fair day was a fantastic success. Everyone that came had a great day and there was lots to keep everyone entertained for all ages.  A big thank you to everyone who came to visit our fair day we hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. Also big thank you to all the the Vintage clubs that took part in our Vintage parade and had all on display around the 98, to Longford Pipe Band who joined our parade this year. To all the different stalls that were also in the field hope ye had good day. Great entertainment provided throughout the day by our local musicians and dancing groups well done. A huge thank you to all the local businesses that gave spot prizes for our raffle. To everyone that shared their photos on facebook they capture the day brilliantly - thank you for sharing. A massive thank you to our dedicated committee and volunteers who thanks to them the day ran smoothly. See you all next year.

Tidy Towns

Public Lecture on one of Drumlishs’ most famous sons,  William O’Higgins who was born in Barraghbeg and who laid the foundation stone for that ‘glorious undertaking’  - St. Mel’s Cathedral in the 1840s - The lecture will take place on the 15th October in Drumlish Community Centre and is part of the Longford Historical Society series of Autumn Lectures. 


We remember in our prayers Micheal (Mike) Crowe, Currabawn, Drumlish, Longford. Beloved husband of Betty. Cherished father of John, Eddie, Tom, Barbara, Colin, Olive, Tyrone and dear brother of Eddie. May he rest in Peace.

Welcome & Farewell

Welcome to Fr. Joe McGrath, who will be priest in residence at Ballinamuck, continuing his full time teaching role in St. Mel’s College, but helping out in the Parish at weekends or on other occasions where possible. We say farewell to Fr. Patsy and thank him for his committed and dedicated service to the people of Ballinamuck and Drumlish over the past three years. His big hearted and creative service will be missed. We wish him many happy years in his new parish.


Beginners and Improvers 6 week YOGA course start Thursday 17th September at 7.30pm in the Village Inn, Drumlish. Bring a mat, a bottle of water, and wear comfortable clothing.

Kiltycreevagh N.S. Re-Union meeting in the 98 Memorial Hall, Ballinamuck Monday, 14th September at 8.30p.m. All who are interested welcome to attend.
