All defibs now have new batteries and pads. So well done. Please note the defibs at Carnadoe is currently out of action and needs replacing. The location of the other defibs are as follows: Slatta Church, former parochial house Kilglass, Gilstown at Charles O Beirne’s House, JP and Una Comptons House, Cloonfower School, Dr Hardimans Surgery Roosky and Kilglass GAA pitch and The Kon Tiki. Kilglass/Tarmonbarry Scouts Group

Sincere thanks to all who purchased tickets for “Twelve days of Christmas Draw” which will be held on Sunday 14th December 2014 at Scouting Ireland National Office, Dublin. Names of winners will appear in the Irish Independent and Examiner on Thursday 18th December. Well done to all Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who sold tickets to raise funds to help their local Scout Group and the National Scout Centres. Good luck to all.!

Sunday 7th December – 12.30 – 6pm Christmas Fair and Family Fun Day Hosted by 17th Roscommon Kilglass/Tarmonbarry Scout Group and Shannon River Adventure Centre. The Beavers Cubs and Scouts have been busy creating special Christmas goodies for all the family to enjoy. This free entry event will include a raffle, stalls and booths with the chance to buy gifts, decorations, bakery, books, bric a brac, play traditional fair games and more. Come to the Kid’s Corner to get your face painted, write your letter to Santa and give it to the man himself at the fair, colouring competition and paint your own Christmas tree decorations. Warm your toes at the open fire while enjoying mulled wine, tea, coffee, BBQ hot dogs, mince pies etc, dance and music. This promises to be a great festive day for all. Also, look out for our set of Christmas cards on sale – designed by the Beaver Scouts and 100//% of the proceeds from sale will go to the Scouts group to help us fund this new voluntary community group.
