Children from St. Mary’s N.S. travelled to Belvedere to take part in the Cross Country Championship on Wednesday, 17th September and were very successful. Congratulations and well done to all children involved. Thank you to Monsignor Earley who celebrated Mass in the school on Friday, 19th September. Football training has resumed for the senior room and the children are working very hard with coach Alan Maguire. Swimming lessons are taking place at present and the children are really enjoying these lessons.

Vintage Club

Are holding a social and presentation night following on from the recent Philip Moran memorial tractor run. It takes place in Ferrick’s Hotel on the 27th September, there will be finger food on the night and a raffle. The music will be provided by Geraldine and the Misty Midlands, special guest on the night Kevin Cunniff. No cover charge. Presentations will be made to the Irish Heart Foundation and also to Lismacaffery school Board. It will start between 9.30 and 10pm. Your support will be appreciated on the night.

Dancing classes

The O’Reilly Bransfield School of Irish Dancing has re-commenced classes after the summer break. Classes every Friday evening 6.15-7.15pm in Rathowen Community Centre. All newcommers welcome. Any enquiries please text Carole on 087 718 1698.
