Bingo: Bingo continues each Wednesday night in the Community Centre Barrack Street Granard commencing at 8.45pm. Why not try your luck and come along with family or friends. Proceeds to Abbeylara and St. Mary’s GAA Clubs.

Country Market: Granard Country Market at the Market House returns after the Christmas break on Friday 18 January from 8.30am to 11.00 am and in Lus Na Greine FRC on Saturday 19 January from 11-00 am to 1.00pm. We look forward to seeing all our customers in 2013 and thanks for your support during 2012.

Comedy in the Corn Mill: A comedy play for all the family “A Matter of Practice” takes place in The Corn Mill Theatre Carrigallen over the holiday period. Forget the budget and just relax and enjoy this traditional comedy set in a chaotic 1960’s doctor’s surgery. A mixture of murder, mystery, love and delusion make for a hilarious and chaotic night’s entertainment on Thursday 3 January to Saturday 5 January. Booking on 0494339612.

Lus na Greine FRC: Santa Sleigh Competition - We invite children up to 12 yrs. to paint a poster of Santa arriving in Granard on his Sleigh and send your entry into Lus na Gréine FRC, Main St. Granard. Entry date closes 31 January. There will be 3 categories 0–5, 6-9, 10 -12 and we will have three great prizes for the winners. Counselor Christmas and New Year period can be a difficult time for various reasons including bereavement, but there is no need to suffer alone: Sometimes a chat over the phone can provide vital support. You can speak with one of our independent and professional counsellors in confidence by calling Anne on 087 6342150 over the days the Centre will be closed.

New Year Wishes: The Centre will remain closed over the holiday period due to maintenance work and will reopen on 8 January. The Voluntary Management Committee and Staff would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone in the community a Peaceful and Prosperous New Year.
