BADMINTON: A new badminton club has been formed in the parish. It will meet every Tuesday night from 8.30pm onwards. Membership is 40 euro which covers insurance etc. Additional 1 euro per night to cover hall.

HILLSIDE : The club meets today at 11am in Currycahill . Carmels team on duty.New members welcome.

PARTY: St Guasachts parents Association are holding a Halloween Party in Cregans Bunlahy on Sat night 27th Oct 3-5pm. Prizes for best fancy dress. Come along for some good fun.

TRACTOR RUN: A tractor run in aid of Our Ladys Hospital Crumlin will be held on Sunbday 28th Oct in Mullinalaghta. Leaving at 12 noon. Registration from 10.30 onwards. Contact Shane 087 9083624.

FOROIGE: We are looking for volunteers to help supervise at Ballinalee Foroige for the coming year. The club caters for 13- 18 year olds. Contact myself or Jim Maher 086 9672920.

COUNTY CHAMPIONS: Congratulations to our neighbours Emmet Og on their tremendous achievement in winning the Sean Connolly Cup last weekend. Special congrats to Shane Dowd Glenoghill who played a starring role for the team. We still dream that some day Sean Connolly will come back to his home parish.

CHRISTMAS MARKET: Plans are in place to hold a Christmas market on Nov 17th in Currycahill Hall. If interested in selling items contact Isla Duffy 087 6353987.

FUNDRASIER: Clonbroney minor Club are having a fundraiser day and night on Monday October 29. Bank holiday weekend . Some members of the coaching committee have volunteered to take part in the Dublin City Marathon on the Monday in Dublin and the on Monday night in Farrells lounge there will be music and raffle. Hopefully those taking part in the marathon will be able to return for at least the finish of the night. Cards are on sale at 2 euro for line with plenty of prizes so if you can please support.

WEDDING BELLS: The pretty wedding took place recently of Gerry son of Mickey and Kathleen Shauhgnessy Graffogue and Ria Bartle formerly Listrahee. The chief celebrant was Fr Simon Cadam. Bridesmaids were Michelle Shaughnessy,Niamh Boyle and Vaidelee Sachdev. The best man was Joe O’Donnell with groomsmen Ronan and Raymond Shaughnessy. Music in the church by Claire Sheeran. All the guests enjoyed a beautiful meal in the Hudson Bay Hotel Athlone and danced the night away. We wish them every happiness in their future together in their home in Clonfin.
