Festival: Our annual festival starts on Sunday 7th August to 14th August. The festival is always on the first Sunday after the August Bank Holiday. With all the recent bad weather it is nice to think that the festival is not far away and fingers crossed we will have put all the horrible weather behind us. The committee are busy as usual putting together a great festival with fun for all ages. So roll on August the 7th!

Childcare: We are holding our open week from 20th June to the 24th June for parents who wish to book children into Our service from September 2011. We offer a quality affordable service in a safe secure environment. We collect Junior and senior infants from Ballinamore School. Activities include free play, group time; sand and water play table top games, outdoor play, dance, games, outings and lots more. Our primary aim is to create a warm secure environment where your child can interact and learn. All our staff is fully trained and support children and work to meet their needs. Playgroup: Are holding their Open Day on Wed next the 22nd of June from 9.30am to 1pm. We have a limited number of free places available. The Rynn-Shannon -&-district angling club will be hosting the annual Chernobyl and family fun day at the Lough Rynn amenity area Mohill on Sunday July 10th at 12pm. Admittance is free. All are welcome. Amongst the attractions will be barbeque pig-on-a-spit, bouncy castle, boat trips, limo trips, [an accessible boat for people with disabilities] with full safety equipment, Irish dancing, music by tom Moran. County Council: In conjunction with Leitrim Warmer Homes, Leitrim County Council is currently implementing a further roll out of the Community Smoke Alarm Scheme. - Under this Scheme arrangements will be made for the supply and the installation of two smoke alarms. The Scheme applies to privately owned houses. Athletics Club: As is usual organised Club training will conclude for the summer on Thursday so the last sessions will be on Tuesday and Thursday this week from 7 00 to 8.00. A number of our members compete in the Connacht Under 13-19 Championships in Sligo this Saturday (18th). American based club member Brian McGovern makes his debut for Ireland in the Pole Vault at the European Team Championship in Izmir, Turkey, this Sunday
Tidy Town : The judging for the Tidy Towns Competition takes place during June, July and August. The committee would like some more volunteers on board.
