On the 2nd of May we competed for the Tom Walsh Cup with the Greville Arms Golf Society. This competition is held annual in memory of the great man Tom Walsh. We were the holders of the lovely trophy for the past two years, however this year we had to relinquish our hold of the trophy to a great Greville Arms golf team. Two of their players alone had great scores of 42 points each which has to be said were great golf scores. Congrats to the Greville Arms Golf society on their win and a huge thanks for organising the tournament and for the prizes. Our Captain was very gratuities in defeat and thanked his fellow members for their efforts. Our Captain also commented on the great condition of the Longford Golf Club course on the day. We are having an additional golf outing on the 23rd May in Delvin Golf Club, Tee time to be announced possible 10am. It is a GOY competition, can all members please attend if possible. Our next outing in June is on the 13th June in Rossmore Golf Club.
