Edgeworthstown Tidy Towns Committee are organising their ‘Spring Cleaning Day’ on Saturday, 28th of March. They are looking for volunteers to participate in pick ups in their area. The committee will provide bags, pickers and collection of rubbish on the day. Chairperson of Edgeworthtown Tidy Towns, Tom Victory has appealed for local support as the entrance roads are a disgrace with rubbish being littered from passing cars and illegal dumping. Tom Victory wishes to thank Longford County Council for their support in combating the problem and they will be checking all collected rubbish for identification. The Active Retirement AGM took place on Monday, 2nd March 2015 and a large crowd attended, ten up on last year.
