Arva team – Sean Donnelly, Bernard Brady, Sean Mc Manus, Enda Gormley, Shane McEntee, Paul Brady, Brian Fitzpatrick, Alan Gray, Conor Mc Entee, Cian Sheridan, Danny Conneely, Ciaran Cooney, Raymond Daly, Alan Barry. Subs - Fergal McGlade, Ryan Magarahan, Raymond Magarahan, Raymond Brady, Cormac Mc Cabe. J.F.C. Arva will play Munterconnacht on this Sunday in Crowe Park, Lacken at 3.30 pm in the second round of the Hotel Kilmore Junior Football Championship and need to win to keep their interest alive in this years competition. Once again these sides usually have very little between them in games and this one is sure to be keenly contested. We urge all club supporters to attend the game and cheer on the players #16th man.

There was a general air of appreciation with the news that the Cavan / Longford Bus Service was to resume following it’s cancellation some months ago. Those who use the service were also delighted that Wharton’s, Crossdoney were once again the provider with Tommy Mc Kiernan at the wheel. Tommy is well known for his thoughtfulness towards passengers and is extremely well liked by all who avail of the service. This is one of the oldest Bus Routes in Ireland and was started by McGirr’s Bus Company well over 100 years ago. Jackson’s Coaches operated the Route for many years before Wharton’s took it over around 40 years ago. This Service provides a lifeline for many people along the R198 between Cavan and Longford and hopefully it will continue into the future. We wish Wharton’s well in their resumed service and hope it will remain with us well into the future.
