Happy birthday

Happy birthday

Congratulations to Dan Magan, Killashee, who celebrated a very special birthday on Saturday night last. Dan was joined by members of his family who travelled from all over the world to celebrate the special occasion. Along with his family, Dan was also joined by a large group of friends, all of whom enjoyed a great night of music, drink and food. Happy birthday Dan. Mrs Magan, Dan’s mum, also celebrated her birthday recently. We wish her many happy returns.

Community Games

All those who qualified from Killashee for the county art finals will be taking part in the competition on Saturday next, 7th June. This year the venue is St. Emer’s School in Longford. Best of luck to all our competitors. Thank you to Rosario Lee and a number of committee members from the area who helped out at the bag packing fundraiser in Dunnes Stores last weekend which was in aid of the county community games.

Well done

Well done to all the ladies who successfully took part in the ladies mini marathon in Dublin last weekend. As usual, the real winners on the day are the large number of charities who benefit from the sponsorship of each participant. Thank you to everyone for their generous donations. My chosen charity was St. Christopher’s Services, Longford.
